CHAD

Chair

Chad, with a population of approximately 17 million and a GDP of around $12 billion in 2023, is largely driven by its oil sector, which constitutes a major portion of export revenues. The per capita income is approximately $700. Over the past 25 years, Chad has sought to diversify its economy by investing in agriculture, mining, and infrastructure.

Opportunities for foreign direct investment (FDI) are present in the oil and gas sector, as well as in emerging sectors like renewable energy and agriculture, despite challenges such as political instability and poverty.
