The Internationalization Epicenter

DOMINICA

Dominica, a small island nation in the Caribbean with a population of approximately 72,000, boasts an economy grounded in agriculture, eco-tourism, and a growing financial services sector. The country’s fertile volcanic soil supports major exports such as bananas, citrus fruits, and root crops, while its pristine natural environment has made it a prime destination for eco-tourism. Additionally, Dominica is developing its geothermal energy resources, positioning itself as a leader in renewable energy within the region. The nation’s GDP is around $600 million, with a per capita income of approximately $8,500. Its strategic focus on sustainable development aligns well with global environmental goals.

By collaborating with the World Business Council, Dominica’s government and business community can explore new opportunities for international partnerships, trade, and investment. Engagement with WBC would enable Dominica to further internationalize its green economy, strengthen its tourism and financial sectors, and play a pivotal role in global sustainability initiatives.
