Latvia, with a population of approximately 1.9 million (2023), is a Baltic nation known for its rich cultural history and vibrant economy. The economy is characterized by a diverse mix of services, manufacturing, and agriculture. The services sector, particularly finance, logistics, and tourism, plays a significant role in driving economic growth, with millions of visitors attracted to its historic cities and natural beauty each year. Latvia’s manufacturing sector includes key industries such as wood processing, textiles, and food production, contributing significantly to exports. With a GDP estimated at around $40 billion and a per capita income of approximately $21,000 (2023), Latvia is steadily advancing towards greater economic stability and integration within the European Union. Its strategic location provides excellent access to both European and Russian markets, enhancing trade opportunities.
