NORTH KOREA

North Korea, with a population of approximately 25 million and a GDP of around $20 billion in 2023, has a centrally planned economy with key sectors including mining, agriculture, and manufacturing. The per capita income is estimated to be around $800.

Due to international sanctions and political isolation, foreign direct investment (FDI) opportunities are limited. However, there are potential opportunities in mining and infrastructure if the political and economic conditions improve.
