NORTH MACEDONIA

North Macedonia, with a population of approximately 2.1 million (2023), is a Balkan country known for its rich cultural heritage and strategic location in Southeast Europe. The economy is diverse, with key sectors including services, manufacturing, and agriculture. The services sector plays a significant role, particularly in trade, telecommunications, and tourism, as the country attracts visitors to its historical sites and natural landscapes. The manufacturing sector includes industries such as textiles, food processing, and metal production, contributing to exports. With a GDP estimated at around $14 billion and a per capita income of approximately $6,600 (2023), North Macedonia is focused on economic growth and integration with the European Union. Its favorable geographic position facilitates trade with both European and Balkan markets.
