RUSSIA

Russia, with a population of approximately 143 million (2023), is the largest country in the world, spanning both Europe and Asia. The European part of Russia is characterized by its rich cultural heritage and significant economic contributions. The economy is diverse, with key sectors including energy, manufacturing, and services. Russia is one of the world’s leading energy producers, with vast reserves of oil and natural gas that significantly impact its GDP and global trade relationships. The manufacturing sector includes industries such as machinery, chemicals, and defense, while the services sector, particularly in finance and telecommunications, is growing. With a GDP estimated at around $1.8 trillion and a per capita income of approximately $12,000 (2023), Russia faces economic challenges but remains a major player on the global stage.

The Russian government and business community can collaborate with the World Business Council to promote sustainable energy practices, enhance technological innovation, and strengthen international trade relationships to foster comprehensive economic development.
