SAO TOME
& PRINCIPE

São Tomé and Príncipe, with a population of around 220,000 and a GDP of approximately $500 million in 2023, is a small island economy in Central Africa.

The per capita income is about $2,300. The economy is largely based on agriculture, particularly cocoa and coffee, and tourism.

The country is focusing on improving infrastructure and attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to develop its tourism and agricultural sectors. Despite its size, São Tomé and Príncipe offers opportunities in these emerging areas.
